Farm at Ease by Greenland Seeds

"Farm at Ease" is an innovative consultancy initiative created by Greenland Seeds Company Limited hereinafter referred as ‘the Company’ to offer a hassle-free farming experience to individuals hereinafter referred as a ‘farmer’ who are enthusiastic about agriculture but face time constraints and lack in-depth technical knowledge.

 

This initiative ensures that aspiring farmers can realize their farming dreams without the burden of day-to-day management, from Land lease to the harvesting and Processing stage.

Key Components of the Farm at Ease Initiative

Expert Farm Management:

The cornerstone of the “Farm at Ease” initiative is the provision of expert farm management services.

This element involves delegating the oversight of daily farming activities to seasoned and well-informed farm managers and agricultural experts on behalf of farmers who lack the time and technical know-how to personally manage their farms.

Roles & Responsibilities

Land Lease and Crop Selection
Farm land may be rented to suit the crop to be cultivated. Expert farm managers collaborate with farmer to select the most suitable crops or livestock based on factors like climate, soil conditions, market demand, profitability among others.
Land Preparation
They oversee soil testing and land preparation, ensuring that the land is well-prepared for cultivation
Planting and Application of fertilizer
Farm managers ensure that crops are planted correctly, including appropriate spacing and planting depth, and also efficient fertilizer application systems to support crop growth.
Pest Control and Disease Management
Monitoring and controlling pests, diseases, and weeds are crucial. Farm managers implement integrated pest management strategies to minimize chemical usage and protect crop health
Harvesting and Processing
Farm managers plan and execute the harvest, ensuring that it is done at the right time to maintain crop quality. They also manage post-harvest handling to reduce losses
Farm Records
Detailed records of all farming activities, yield, and performance are maintained, allowing for informed decision-making by the farmer

Budgeting

Effective financial management is a vital component of the Farm at Ease Initiative. It   encompasses a budget with various activities and processes that ensure transparent, cost-effective, and profitable farming operations while reducing financial risks.

The initiative assists the farmer in creating detailed budgets for their farming ventures.

Budgets cover all expenses, including land acquisition or lease costs, resource procurement, Labor, farm management fees, and any other operational costs. Each financial plan is tailored to the specific needs and goals of the farmer.
