Current Distribution Channels
Greenland Seeds’ current channels of distribution are as follows:

Greenland Seeds sells roughly 80% of its seed through a network of agro- dealers spread across the country on a cash or a sale-or-return basis. We also market and distribute seedlings (Soya Beans, Cowpeas, and Vegetables) to our retailers across the countries

Greenland Seeds sells roughly 20% of its seed directly to smallholder farmers. Information about Greenland Seeds seed comes from personal contacts, extension services, demonstrations, field days, farmer visits, small packs (pack contains 100g of seeds with production, for farmers to do it yourself) and radio adverts

Greenland (GL) Seeds Company Limited is founded and registered in Since 2017
With the aim of supplying quality seeds at competitive and affordable prices to smallholder farms and agencies. Headquartered in Ho, Greenland Seeds produces hybrid maize, open pollinated maize (OPV), rice, cowpea, soybean, sorghum and groundnut improved seeds to farmers in Ghana. These products are sold in Greenland Seeds branded packaging material through an agro-dealer network and Government. Greenland’s hybrid maize, which is designed for local conditions, can generate a significant increase in yield of 4.5 ha/ton over farm saved seeds of 0.5 ha/ton. Greenland Seeds educates smallholder farmers about improved seed ratio programs and demonstration farms. Field days and trains the out growers as part of its production strategy. Greenland’s rice can also generate a significant increase in yield of 5.0 ha/ton over farm saved seeds of 1 ha/ton.
